Na tarde deste domingo (14), aconteceu em Budapeste, na Hungria, a grande cerimônia de premiação global MTV Europe Music Awards 2021. A rapper Saweetie foi a apresentadora do evento e também a vencedora da categoria Artista Revelação do Ano, além disso ela também se apresentou.
A cantora brasileira Manu Gavassi esteve presente no evento e recebeu seu prêmio de Melhor Artista Brasileiro na premiação, além disso, ela apresentou a categoria Best Alternative e entregou o prêmio ao Yungblud.
O grupo de k-pop BTS foi o maior vencedor da noite, ele venceu nas categorias Melhor Grupo, Melhor Pop, Best K-pop e Melhores Fãs pelo fandom Army.
